Author Anita Burnett holds her memoir, Down Through the Years, He Was There All the Time!

For years, Anita Burnett’s family and friends told she should write a book to get her life story down on paper. When she finally did, she turned to Argyle Fox Publishing to get it to the finish line. Keep reading to meet her and find out what readers are already saying about her memoir.

Tell us a bit about Down Through the Years, He Was There All the Time! What is it about and what inspired you to write it?

In the past thirty-plus years, everyone I meet was shocked when I mentioned some of the things I did in my younger days. That was because they had only known me since I had given my life to Christ. For many years I would say jokingly, “You’ll read about it in my book.”

Then one day when I was having my quiet time with the Lord, based on a journal entry I started writing my story. As I started writing and reflecting on my early years, I became increasingly aware that God was always there.

How did you find Argyle Fox Publishing, and what convinced you that we were the right publisher for you?

My goddaughter Krystal Odume published her children’s book through Argyle Fox Publishing and highly recommended the company. I had other recommendations but none of them were given such high marks.

Who is your target audience, and what do you hope readers get out of your book?

My target audience is for Christians and those who may not be believers but are in need of hope and encouragement.

Now that your book is published, how will you measure whether it’s a success? What is your goal for your story?

I already heard from several people how my testimony has encouraged and strengthened their growing faith. If my story has touched the heart and life of one person, I think it has been successful.

What are you doing to market your book and let folks know it is available?

I’ve posted on my social media sites and sent out an invite for a book launch celebration to all my contacts. Many have shared the information on their pages. Oh, and I had a press release issued.

What feedback have you received so far on your book?

So far, all positive.

What did you learn about the publishing process that surprised you?

It was easier than I thought with the help of Argyle Fox Publishing.

What would you say to other writers who have a book idea but aren’t sure if it’s worth publishing?

This is actually a quote from my celebration invitation to get potential writers to think about publishing their stories. This is part of what I would say:

Everyone has a story to tell.

What is your very earliest childhood memory? Are there major events from your growing years you would love to share? How about the details of the most significant events in your life?

During the celebration, we are actually going to have activities geared towards helping others to share their stories.

Do you have other books you’re working on right now? If so, can you give us a sneak preview of what’s next and when you plan to present it to the world?

It took me so long to finish this part of my story, I can’t think about another project until I am fully retired.

Where can readers find you online?

They can find me on Facebook or Instagram.

Thank you so much for giving us the scoop on your book. Here’s trusting it will encourage readers!
