CHILDREN’S BOOK PUBLISHING
From picture books to early readers, chapter books to middle grade fiction, we love children’s book publishing.
If you’re looking for children’s book publishing services from caring experts, you’ve come to the right place.
Because at Argyle Fox Publishing, we love, love, LOVE children’s books! From thought-provoking and silly picture books to engaging chapter books and middle grade fiction, we love a good story aimed at a young audience.
Our love of children’s books makes sense, as Argyle Fox’s founder is a children’s book author.
That said, you may be wondering what kind of children’s books we publish.
Picture Book and Early Reader Publishing Services
Every child begins their literary journey with picture books and early readers. Why are these types of children’s book publishing beloved?
- The story is simple. It’s also short, so it can be enjoyed in one sitting, repeatedly. But this doesn’t make it easy to write an early reader or picture book. With so few pages, every word counts. So these children’s authors edit, re-edit, and then re-re-edit to make sure the story flows well for young readers and provides an enjoyable reading experience for parents.
- There are pictures! While nearly every other type of book uses pictures sparingly if at all, picture books and early readers revolve around illustrations. In fact, without illustrations, these books wouldn’t exist. They’re why many of them stick in our head.
At Argyle Fox Publishing, we love putting together a good picture book or early reader. With illustrators who can match your stylistic vision and designers who make sure your text and illustrations mesh, we take this area of publishing very seriously. (Though we do smile quite a bit in the process.)
Chapter Books and Middle Grade Fiction Publishing
Need children’s book publishing services for a slightly older group? Then you’ve written a chapter book or middle grade book.
A world of fun for young readers, chapter books are the go-to option for young readers who know their sight words and are ready to expand their horizons even more. These are often the first books young readers take ownership over.
Once children begin reading chapter books, they can learn about history, outer space, talking dogs, and more. Best part? They can read about it all on their own!
Depending on the target audience, chapter books may include pictures. Middle grade fiction often has illustrations as well. However, these illustrations are typically not in color, and there’s no more than one illustration per chapter.
Regardless of the intended age of your book, having a great story with simple sentences and a great cover sets you up for publishing success.
